Who We Are
DART trustees are made up of a group of people in the Devon hilltop town of Chulmleigh who were concerned about the low percentage of ambulance emergency calls that received a prompt response. The trustees are unpaid and all the money raised is used to support the responders [every single penny].
The Trustees
Phil French [Chair]
Founding Trustee. A retired Civil Engineer and Chulmleigh Parish Councillor. Responsible for liaison with Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue.
Sam Moyse [Deputy Chairman].
Founding Trustee. Publican, owns The Old Court House where we hold our meetings. Responsible for liaison with our Local Councils.
Peter Older
Founding Trustee. Peter co-runs the “Charities Together” charity shop in Chulmleigh. This shop has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Devon charities over the years. Responsible for liaison with Chulmleigh clubs and organisations.
Ian Jury
Former Director J & P Coats , Pringle of Scotland and Crossroads Care Scotland . First Chair of Chulmleigh Recreational Association, former Chair of Friends of Chulmleigh Parish Church, Trustee of Chulmleigh Cricket Club. Responsible for liaison with Devon Air Ambulance [DAAT]
Jonathan Davies [Ilfracombe]
Jonathan Davies an ex Royal Navy Officer who has been running his own heating and plumbing business for the last 15 years in Ilfracombe. He is also the team leader for the Ilfracombe group of Community First Responders, a team of three at present which he hopes to increase over the coming the year.
